Electric Bill Back to Normal
In June, my electric bill crept up a little. In July, it was a little more still, and by August, I’d lost all the money I'd saved by unplugging stuff in my apartment. I knew ComEd raised prices, but that this was way more than the 7% I expected.
I decided to get drastic. I unplugged everything this month when not in use except my phone, modem, router, and alarm clock. Savings: $4.31.
The electric bill is still higher than the previous average, but only by $1, which I can live with.
